到美国读硕一般签证几年？
我签的是1年的，因为申请时我的I-20上写的入学时间是9月，所以只能签一年的了。当时和签证官的对话大概是这样的： (美领馆：请坐下) Welcome， I'm going to look at your information and ask you some questions. So what is the purpose of this visit？ 我说，去读研究生。 他问： What kind of degree are you looking for ？我说 masters. Then he asked， "What university do you plan to attend？" Because my college was not very well known in China， so when I said it， he didn’t recognize it but just looked confusedly on his computer screen. He then typed something into a little window， which showed that I am planning to study in XXX University with an I-20 issued by their graduate school， which says that they will accept me as a full-time student starting from September xxth， 20xx. He nodded slowly after reading this， then turned around to pick up a form which had “VISA” written big at the front cover and put it before me. Finally we made eye contact briefly before him saying Ok please fill out these forms and make sure everything else is ready， then he returned back behind his desk.
So basically all I needed to prepare during the interview were things specified above； if there were any other problems or misunderstanding about them， even if I can talk fluently in English， chance of success would be slim indeed． The whole process went smoothly without being asked anything else apart from those basic facts. Afterward we shook hands， smiled and parted ways， which means everything went as planned！ Good luck！！ ：）
